Mahāvansa, two celebrated works written in Pāli, and relating to the history of Lankā, or Ceylon, from its earliest period down to the reign of Mahāsena, who died 302 A.D. The first thirty-eight chapters were published in 1837 by G. Turnour; and there is an edition of the whole in Pāli and Sinhalese (Colombo, 1877-83).
