Makololo, a tribe of Basutos (q.v.) who, under their chief Sebituane and his son Sekeletu, founded an extensive kingdom in the basin of the Upper Zambezi; but a successful rebellion by the conquered tribes broke up the kingdom in 1864, since which time the Makololos have ceased to exist as a people.
