Manihiki Islands, a group of low, wooded atolls, scattered over the central Pacific, between the Marquesas and Union groups; total area, 55 sq. m.; pop. 1600. Most of them (Caroline, Malden, Starbuck, Penrhyn, &c.) belong to Britain.
