Memmingen. an old town of Bavaria, 33 miles SSE. of Ulm, played a prominent part in the religious wars of the 16th century. Here Moreau defeated the Austrians under Kray, 9th and 10th May 1800. Lineu, cloth, &c. are manufactured. Pop. 8688.
