Montgomery, a district of the Punjab, in the Multan division, and bounded by the Sutlej. The area is 5574 sq. m.; pop. (1891) 499,521. Its capital, Montgomery, midway between Lahore and Multan, has but 3500 inhabitants. It was named in 1865 after the governor of the Punjab.
