Necrwinden, a small village in the north-west corner of the Belgian province of Liège, is noted for the victory gained by the French under Luxembourg over the English under William III. (29th July 1693), and also for the defeat of the French under Dumouriez by the allies under the Prince of Coburg (18th March 1793).
