Rossall College, a large public school on the coast of Lancashire, miles SSW. of Fleetwood, was founded in 1844 for the education of the sons of clergymen and others. It has twelve entrance scholarships, thirty masters, and over 350 boys. See the Jubilee Sketch by Canon Beechey (1894).
