Saltillo, capital of the Mexican state of Coahuila, by rail 237 miles SW. of Laredo, Texas, and 603 N. by W. of Mexico city. It contains several convents, a small fort, a bull-ring, a number of cotton-factories and pulque-distilleries. Pop. 25,000.
