Streatham

Streatham, a suburban parish in Surrey, $1\backslash frac\{1\}\{2\}$ miles SSW. of St Paul's. The Thrales's house, visited by Dr Johnson, is gone; but the church, though rebuilt in 1831, retains some interesting monuments. Pop. (1881) 25,553; (1891) 48,742. See F.
