Sudbury

Sudbury, a village of Ontario (pop. 800), by rail 443 miles W. by N. of Montreal and 179 NE. of Sault Ste Marie. It is notable for the immense deposits of copper and nickel close by. Two short branch-lines connect Sudbury and the mines, and smelting-furnaces reduce the ores on the spot.
