Tracery

Tracery, the beautiful forms in stone with which the arches of Gothic windows are filled or traced for the support of the glass. These forms vary with every variety of Gothic architecture, from the simple early forms to the Decorated (q.v.) and Flamboyant (q.v.). See WINDOW, PENDICULAR, CHAPTER-HOUSE, &c.
