Yanáon (Yánám), a small patch of Indian soil belonging to France, and under the governor of Pondicherry, forming a small enclave surrounded by British territory (province of Madras), with sq. m. of area and 4470 inhabitants. It lies near the mouth of the Godavari, between the main stream and its branching mouth, the Coringa.
