Brierly Hill

Brierly Hill, a town of Staffordshire, 2\frac{1}{2} miles NE. of Stourbridge. It is a place of much activity, the district abounding in coal, iron, and fireclay; and there are here numerous collieries, large iron-works, glass-works, brick-works, and potteries. Pop. (1871) 11,046; (1891) 11,847.
