Buddlea, a genus of shrubs of the order Scrophulariaceæ (sub-order Loganiaceæ), of which eighty species are known, all natives of the warmer parts of the world, and some of them much admired for their beautiful flowers. B. globosa (Chili), with globose heads of orange-coloured flowers, is hardy enough to endure the climate of most parts of England, and several half-hardy species have also been introduced.
