Dholpore, a native state of Rajputana, in Central India, on the northern bank of the Chambul, with an area of 1200 sq. m., and a pop. of 279,890, mostly Hindus. Capital, Dholpore, on the Chambul, 34 miles S. of Agra by rail. A large fifteen days' fair is held here in October, and two religious fairs are held every year at Machkund, a lake 3 miles to the west, with no fewer than 114 temples on its banks.
