Döberan, a favourite bathing-resort of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, 2½ miles from the Baltic, and 25 miles N.E. of Wismar by rail. It has a ducal palace, dating from 1232, is connected by rail (4 miles) with a large sea-bathing establishment, and has a strongly chalybeate spring. Pop. 4349.
