Ealing, a town and parish in Middlesex, 5½ miles W. of Paddington by rail. It is the birth-place of Huxley. Pop. (1851) 3771; (1891) 23,978. Brentford (q.v.), the county town, is in this parish. See Edith Jackson's Annals of Ealing (1899).
