Egham, a village of Surrey, on the right bank of the Thames, 8 miles SSE. of Windsor, and 21 W. of London. In the vicinity are Runnimede (q.v.), Cooper's Hill (q.v.), and the Royal Holloway College for Women, opened by the Queen in 1886. Pop. of parish (1861) 4864; (1881) 8692.
