Faribault

Faribault, capital of Rice county, Minnesota, on the Cannon River, 53 miles S. of St Paul by rail, with a Catholic academy and convent, a state institution for the deaf, dumb, and blind, and the Seabury divinity school. It has manufactures of flour, bricks, furniture, &c. Pop. (1890) 6520.
