Faridkot, one of the Sikh cis-Sutlej states, south-east of Firozpur, with an area of 642 sq. m., and a pop. (1891) of 115,040. Under the political superintendence of the Punjab government, it is ruled by a rajah, resident in the town of Faridkot (pop. 6593), 60 miles SSE. of Lahore.
