Formia, formerly Mola di Gaeta, a seaport of Italy, on the Gulf of Gaeta, with 8551 inhabitants. The ancient Formice, it became a Roman town in 338 B.C., and was celebrated for its wine. Here are the ruins of Cicero's villa, Formianum.
