Kalamata, or KALAMÆ, a seaport in the Peloponnese of Greece, on the Gulf of Koron, is the seat of an archbishop. Its exports (currants, figs, olive-oil, and soap) have an annual value of some £300,000; its imports, of £500,000. Pop. 7609.
