Kedron, or KIDRON, spoken of as a 'brook' in the English Bible, should rather be called (as in John, xviii. 1, new version, margin) 'ravine' or 'winter-torrent.' It is a gorge close to Jerusalem (q.v.) on the east, running away in the direction of the Dead Sea. Water never flows in it, save during the heavy rains of winter. At other times it is a dry waddy.
