Rice, JAMES

Rice, JAMES, novelist, for nine years collaborateur with Mr Walter Besant (q.v.), was born at Northampton in 1843, studied at Cambridge, drifted from law into literature, and became proprietor and editor of Once a Week. He died in London, 25th April 1882.
