Stelvio Pass

Stelvio Pass (Ger. Stilfsenjoch), the highest carriage-road across the Alps (9042 feet), leads from Bormio in the Valtelline for over 30 miles to the Vintschgan in Tyrol. It was completed by the Austrian government in 1825.
